Default Sink, Float, Inter.....what then?

Hi,

A newbie question here, hope you don't mind me asking.

Leaders are on my mind:

If I was to have a floating line, I would be using a floating leader for dry flys, correct?

So a sinking leader with a floating line would be just that the line would be visible yet the 9ft leader would be sinking?

Am I also correct in assuming that you would not have a floating leader with a sinking line?

Again, sorry if the question is a real dumb one, but was thinking about it after having a go at casting this evening.

Thanks in advance.

agreed I get the feeling you've been looking at braided leaders and polyleaders?
