Default Cordura

Has anyone experience of trousers made from Cordura whilst boat fishing. It is hard to get waterproof over trousers that will withstand very wet conditions. DOES Cordura?
Thanks

It doesn't get a lot wetter than this without falling in. The jacket and overtrousers I am wearing are simple cheapo chinese nylon jobbies from a farm shop up the road from where I live. They are 100 % waterproof. You wouldn't want to walk far in them and they don't like thorns. But Hey, at £15 the two who cares. They have the added advantage of folding up real small, so I never have to be without them..................birdsnest

Its a nylon and would depend on the waterproofing applied to it.
They all leak in the end.
I have a snowbee bib & brace that seem to be sticking the pace.

Hows the fishing going there mate, will be landing on the 28th July for a month.

Cordura in itself is not waterproof, It has to have a linning that is waterproof.
cordura is just a tough outer fabric to protect the waterproof membrane.Or so I believe.

You could look at this set.

The reason I prefer bib & brace is they keep your lower back warm and dry,
a must for a old builders bones.

They have a rubberised inner surface. They don't leak unless you stab 'em. Fishing here is mixed. Where are you going?......................birdsnest

Anywhere down west of Ireland. The reason for raising the matter is that with the recession a lot of Builder's providers are selling Cordura work trousers v cheap. I've seen a good pair recently at £15
Thanks every one for the advice.
