Default Walthamstow reservoirs

There is plenty of information on Walthamstow reservoirs on the Walthamstow FFC website at www.walthamstowffc.org.uk

Like a lot of places, the fly fishing here has improved recently with the change in the weather.

Thumbs up

You could go to Hayward's Farm fishery Reading which is about couple of minutes from Theale Station. You can catch the train from paddington and will take you excatly 40 mins to get there. It is wonderful spot with 2 lakes. One for catch and release and one with bag limit.

The other place I know you can travel by train and go fishing is Coltsford Mill in Surrey. Catch a train from Victoria and get off at Hurst Green Station and the fishery is about 7 mins walk down hill.

Hope this helps.........

Well if you prefer smaller waters there is always Syon Park, you can get a train to either Brentford or Syon Lane from Waterloo.

Also the stocking seems to happen these days,a few years ago I am sure very few were actually stocked.
I was pleasantly suprised when I made a rare visit a few weeks ago, actually saw more than one fish rising at a time .

There's Rib Valley Lakes in Ware, I'm afraid I've never been there so I couldn't tell you how far it is from Ware Station, but I thought I'd still draw your attention to it.

Haywards Farm is closed at the moment, as is Rib Valley.

Rib is a 5 minute taxi ride from Ware or Hertford station but not walkable.
