Default Why do we do it?......myself included!!

As I fished a certain pool today, I could feel my blood pressure increasing as I spied an opposite bank angler approaching the next pool with a spinning rod.

The words "fe ck in spinner chuckers........shouldn't be on the river" went through my mind. It was the automatic reaction of an ardent fly fisherman who felt that he had a somehow given right to fish the pool first.

The ironic thing? - I was also spinning........but years of fly fishing had sparked an automatic reaction.

The snobbery of a Salmon fly fisherman.........what's it all about?

Woundered that myself of late!
Currently throwing hunks of lead in the Sea with all manor of sea food cocktails bound to the hook!
Its has a bit less finess than fly fishing but a change is as good as a rest

Also took the fly rod on a few venues nr home to the disbelief of the course fishing lads. You could see it in their faces, then they say it theres no trout in here m8 as another roach comes to the fly.
nice to be out.....doing something a little different at the moment a different challenge reading the moods of the tide and sea
