Hi all,

I am new to the forum so appologies if this has been asked on here before.

Can anyone tell me if fishing is available on the stretch of Meon south of Titchfield down to the Haven.

Any info would be appreciated

I for one would also be interested to hear if anyone has an answer to your question. In the past, I've tried to do some "on the ground research" on this very point but sadly have drawn something of a blank , , , , ,

I was over at Chiphall, Wickham earlier and asked some of the people there about the waters from the M27 down to the Haven.

It seems (according to those at Chiphall today), that near the motorway it is controlled jointly the British Legion and Services Fishing Associations, after which it is owned and controlled by quite a number of private individuals and at least one syndicate, although no one could name anyone or who to get in touch with.

Many thanks for the info. Seems that stretch is pretty stitched up, shame a lovely part of it just below Titchfield is only a 10 min walk from my house.

You could try Park Gate British Legion I've heard they have fishing rights down there.

I'm a member of the Services fly fishing club, we had a beat down there a few years ago. We are now further up the Meon and on the Itchen.
