Default How to fish a blob

I know a lot of people hate them, but how do you fish a blob?
Bought some today but have no idea what to do or how to fish with them.

Tie it on chuck it out as far as poss pull it back as fast as poss!! simples!!

Strangely, that clever copy of an insect of many different colours seems to work as dropper, or point fly, fished on sinker or floater! dont know why, but when the fish want it they really want it, sometimes swallowing the thing right down. just fish it as you would any lure or fly on cast.

Default blob

The ones I have bought are not weighted and looking at them there's no way they will sink, so do I use a sinking line?

You can oil then and use them as the bung too.

Blobs ............ UUUuuurrrggghhh!!!

With Bungs.......Yeeeaaaacchhhggg!!!

That's not fly fishing!

Major Oliver Kite once described lure fishing on reservoirs like this:

"You chuck it out and pull it back and when you can't you've got one!"

He was right.

Hi

Im no expert but ive had most luck fishing orange blobs on the point on a floating line, with nymphs cast it out pull it s few times to sink it (they will once water logged) then i fish it very slow like buzzzers often taken on the drop. Ive only ever caught once fishing it fast ??

Try using it in different ways ............and enjoy

Under an indicator just deadly, put up a brolly if its raining and just wait for the indicator to dip.

great and relaxing for some.

Also helps to put the rod on two rests, and use a bite alarm.
