Default To sell or not to sell.....

Having been a coarse angler for 40+ years I found fly fishing later than I would have liked but it has totally taken over. Now I look at the huge mound of coarse tackle stood in the corner, unloved, hardly used, gathering dust; it's a bit sad.

Should I give this tackle its liberty and sell it on or should I put it in cold storage just in case? Any others on here had to face this dilemma?

TF

Keep it.

Fly fishing may be number 1, but every now and again isn't it nice to have a days barbel fishing on the river or a short summer carp session ?

Value of the kit comes into it too. What are you realistically going to get for it ?

Default Sell

I had the same prob but after 12mths just fly fishing I sold all my coarse gear. Spent it on fly tackle. I do not miss having to lug half ton of gear around and mixing ground bait etc. Once it's gone you will relise you have made the right decision, well I did.

I'm the same, a shed full doing nothing but a lot of it was gifts for birthdays etc from the wife and family.
but times move on so a clear out must be due.

Keep it untill you fancy some trout gear, then sell it as required.

TF.. I have about £7,000 of coarse gear sat at the moment, and i will not sell it ,i once did this when i split up from the ex wife ,and believe me you will regret selling it ,not only because you cant use it anymore ,but also the cost of replacing stuff when you want to go again ...because you will
