Hi all
just returned to fly fishing after a 25 year absence, treated myself to a new rod and rest of the gear ( arent these carbon rods great!! the last rod I used put a cast in the water was 13ft split cane, bit of a weight difference....) Been out a few times to fisheries in the last month but blanked, i spent most of the time relearning how to cast without looking to much of a prat.

Thanks for the replies gents, I am in East lothian, been to a few trout fisheries, they have changed as well, years ago a 2lb rainbow was a monster!!

raised in haddington myself, 1960's till late 80's fished most of whats fishable in east lothian! and most of what isnt as well! stay linlithgow now, get yersel' down the tyne at knowes for the sea trout, should be a fair run if water is slightly up after this weather.
