McTrout is on a distinguished road
Default tube and needle flies?

Can anyone recommend a good vendor? I can't find any on flytastic or the essential fly or anywhere else for that matter!

I've never been sea trout fishing so dont have any at all, I'm pretty sure the tress will be stealing them all night too so I'll need to get a few!

Alan - I'll assume you mean curious

Usk Purple - thanks for that, I had come across them whilst looking but was hoping I wouldn't have to spend £36 on them! Do you know anywhere that sells them in singles? Also, any recommendations on sizes and other types of flies would be much appreciated, as would a link to somewhere with a wealth of information about sea trout fishing!

Thanks Jim. Looks like theres plenty on there to get stuck into in the next 24 hours, I need to learn fast!

It looks like I'll be ordering more standard flies for now, I cant justify spending £36 on 12 flies when I'm probably going to lose most of them...

I found some Snake flies on the essential fly, they look pretty good. I just want a small selection (6-8) to cover a few different situations, any suggestions on types and sizes anyone?

Why don't you just try .Silver stoats tail double sz 8-10. TEal blue silver, sz 8-10. Peter ross sz 8-10.
I think you are trying to run before you can walk.you don't 'need' wake flies /snakes /tubes. just get the above flies in the water, if there is fish about you have a chance.

Mctrout sorry about curious and just sussed what you meant sometimes it takes me a while to suss things out not got as many grey cells these days I feel stupid now I thought it was something specific to do with sea trout fishing. I was not trying to be sarcastic.

there really is no need at all to apologise to me about spelling mistakes, the curious comment was purely in jest!

As for taking a while to suss stuff out, maybe you need to lay off the and more !!!!!!

Jim - I think your right, its just all these stories in T&S and FFFT about Jambo's and super silvery flashy things, next to pictures of big Sea trout! I've ordered what you suggested (plus a couple of others, I couldn't resist!). Thanks for the advice...
