Question Any info on fishing Lake Como

Hi guys,

I'm posting this on behalf of my Dad. He is going to Lake Como (Italy, there are a few I have looked) for 2 weeks and was wanting to take his fishing gear but doesn't know what he would need to take and what he is likely to catch. I was wondering if anyone had been or had any info they wouldn't mind sharing with him?

I have found out that you need a licence which will be about 20euros and the fish are trout, eel and a herring type fish but that was from only one website, and I'm not too sure how reliable it is. I can't seem to find anything about the fishing there!

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

Gary

Just as a thught - it might be worth calling the hotel and seeing if they can find a number of the Department of Fishing or what ever it is called out there, or even a local tackle shop. They would be able to point you in the right direction I would imagine. I had a quick look for info but as you said its hard to find initially.

Good luck
