Default Fisheries near Manchester

I'm relatively new to fly fishing and have had a few lessons and a few trips out to Ladybower as it's within reach of Manchester and fairly good fishing although it seems to have slowed recently and I've been advised that from July onwards it doesn't really fish too well.

Can anyone suggest anywhere suitable for a beginner to fish within a 45-60 minute drive from Manchester? I've trawled the internet but not much joy. I'm looking for somewhere that stocks Rainbows and isn't massively overpriced.

You could try Danebridge if its a small stillwater that you're after
