Default Loomis GLX tip broken

Hi, I was out seatrout fishing last night and hooked a salmon, while playing the fish the top 6 inches of my rod snaped of. I have had the rod for 6 years and I have got my receipt for it .
Is my rod under warranty or will I have to buy a new one ?.
The rod is a G Loomis GLX antiy gravity 10ft #8.
Has this happened to anyone else and what was the outcome ?

Regards

if you still have both parts of the tip section you can probally get a new tip blank and use the guides from the broken section and send it to someone like foxons to get the guides re-rapped

or get a new section and get guides to match, maybe worth exploring rather than getting a whole new rod. unless you want to use it as an excuse to get a new rod ?

Phone Shimano UK and see what the deal is with the warranty. Im not sure if they still make the GLX AG/classic . I have one and was looking to get a new one any my local dealer couldnt source one.

My mate broke his Loomis last year on Rutland, pretty sure he had to pay £80 for a replacement section! Fidfish on here is the man to ask.
