I'm thinking of buing a Hardy Marksman 9feet for a 4 weight. I'm fishing in Greece and there are no tackle shops to try the rod here. I couldn't find any reviews either.
Can somebody help???????

lovely rod i have the 6 ft 2 wt and it is a lovely tool. i am assuming that will be the same across the range. a lot of people say that they dont like the reel seat i dont mind it personally. i do however prefer a solid wood seat. i think when you are spending money on premium kit you should ideally try it first. i had this idea that the hardy rods were a slower action than my favourite sage rods but i was surprised at how fast the marksman is. hope this is of some help.

Thanks a lot you certainly helped. I was in between an Orvis Hellios 9/4 mid to tip and the Marksman, which is also a better value
