Default where would you fish

I fish the river earn, and where i fish there is a we stream that enters the river. and where it enter the river flows in an s shape (not the banks just the flow of water) and i can get to a bend in the s which is about half way across the rive. The s shape is deep water. so icast up to the top of the s and let the line drift past me to the bottom of the s and it fast flowing water and you can pull line of the reel and the river will take up all slack line. i would of thought that the stream mouth and the bottom of the s where the water slows down would have fish sitting there. there are fish there as they constantly rising and jumpping clean out the water. do think this would be a goood area? my only concern that my flies are floating down river to fast with the current.i havent thus far been able to catch anything bigger than my pinky. i use floating line with a tbs, silver stoats tale and peter ross or kate mclaren . i understand it hard with no photos but hopfully you get the just. P.s its the dupplin beat

Any help tips or advive about flies or areas on that beat to fish would be much appriecated bobby
