Default Gonnie no dae that

7.30am, been on the river for about an hour in perfect harmony with nature. "Hello ,are you catching much on the flee?" cringe. Now if there are two thing that I hate more than anything, one is being engaged in conversation at that time in the morning when fishing. The other is the term flees, because the only time anyone changes the term is when talking of flyfishing. I always feel I`m talking to an imbecile, I mean you don`t flee off on holiday, you don`t get a flee in your soup or ointment, or watch him he thinks he`s a flee man. Taken a step further, instead of "I`m going to tie a new dry fly and give it a try" You can have " I`m going to tee a new dree flee and give it a tree" So all you flee men, gonnie no dae that. Oh the guy on the bank? I asked him if he did much fishing, to which he replied "No, I PLAY GOLF, i`M JUST OUT WITH THE DOG".`nuff said.

That would be very annoying, its no a god damn flee!!! Even the wee kids that were fishing the lilly loch didnt call it that when my mate cought a fish. They were young too couldnt have been older than 10.

"Thats a big blue trout! On the fly too!" they exclaimed. Well it wasnt a dry fly it was a weight nymph but still and coming from kids with a very neddish accent and still said Fly intead of Flee.

Nope Toonheid masel 24years, but it`s just that some I guys know, have been fly fishing for seconds and couldn`t catch a cold lying naked in a blizzard, but------ they can call a fly a flee.

I did as a matter of fact. I think it`s time for me to flee or is it fly. I`m off to instructions in fly (flee)tying, less hassle there.Bye.

could be its just a regional thing, and possibly nothing to do with a persons angling experience. i know that i have allways used the term "flee",even before i took up fishing 30 odd year ago.as i say it could be a fife thing.
