Default Upper Tay Logierait

Got a week on the tay for a summer break , has anyone got experience on this stretch and could help me out with advice and tips ? salmon and trout ... no night fishing so sea trout is out the question .

looking forward to it but i feel im fishing blind as i know nothing about this well known river , im googleing as we speak and reading various sites , but local knowledge would be great ?

Marky some nice water up there, but a lot can be slow deep pools. On an evening there can be some good rises. You also have the opportunity to fish the Tummel just up the road and IMHO a better bet for trout. Moulinearn stretch is very good and woth a bash for a few pounds (£8 I re-call). Perits from the Fishing tackle shop in Pitlochry.
