Just a thought ,today we have had a bootean moment when one of our treasured posters has seen fit to "retire",this with some acrimony .
I thought I should mention one of the great things here -- Generosity .
since joining this forum I have received remarkable kindness and items such as mitchell 300 bale arm springs (3lb grayling),designer shrimps,and much more (roy christie),tapered salmon leaders( FAE),feathers to dream about (many ,loopy most recently)great advice ,on the board and PMs (grouse springs to mind "dont go into the tackle biz"), the real in the flesh friends I have made here (way to many to mention,but the Monnow mafia feature highly), Rod Dibble of furled leader fame came through today with a nice care package of a replacement set of furled leaders for my 3 and 5 weight lines .
Been a fair few years i have been here and the generosity that the above is the tip of the iceburg has been stupendous , give a bit and seems you get a lot .
I have ommitted many acts of generosity ,blame the late hour and alchohol .
i think a very good rule on forums is "do as you would be done by" sounds Victorian but seems to work for me !

agreed, some of the guys on here are genuinly the nicest people that will go to great lengths to help out even a stranger, god bless them for there kindness and I hope many good things come there way.
