I saw this ad in the back of Trout Fisherman. It claims to "guarantee a catch on virtually every cast" and "lights up just like a firefly and attracts trout and salmon like a magnet".

Has anyone seen these "miracle" flies, or know how they work or what they do? the picture that accompnies the ad is of 20 rainbows on a table, not much help.

Had this question on here some moons ago,
If my memory serves we came to the conclusion its pish and the photo of the fish is one sorry sight.
I know we all like to catch fish but that ad stinks.

If the results match the marketing claims then how could it be sporting to use such a "fly"?

Hi, When this was mentioned earlier i sent away just to see what rubbish they sent me, Its called the "merlin superfly" its just a lure with a glow in the dark body. They sell uv light to "charge it up". I keep getting letters from them, latest one was an addative t hat u drop onto your fly which is supposed to attract trout and salmon. I got a dvd of a guy fishing with this fly, he literally was catching on every cast but the way he treats the fish he catches is horrible. p.m me and Ill send you all the info i have recieved from them if u wanna have a look at it yourself.

Nope, i was going to order a few untill i watched the dvd, i wasnt going to give my money to a guy who treats fish that way. you are welcome to the stuff i have. ill look it out.

It sounds like a very un-sporting way of fishing. I'm not suprised the guy doesnt treat the fish well, the photo is bad enough. It would be a very short day on the reservoir if i caught a fish on every cast, i'd have my limit in 20 mins

i agree marazion, i chose to stick to the buzzers and diawls,, that dvd has scarred me for life lol.
