McTrout is on a distinguished road
Default Loch Awe - Advice sought!!

A couple of friends and I have booked some days off and will be heading up, from manchester, to loch awe for a few days. We'll be mainly fishing for trout but will be doing a bit if piking at some point.
I was hoping someone who knows the area might be able to help me out with a couple of questions?

In the time that we're there I would like to fish the loch itself, a couple of nearby rivers/streams (large or small) as well as a few lochans, hopefully ones that are close together so I can try a few in a day. I'm up for a reasonable hike to get to them.
Can anyone suggest anywhere? In a perfect world the lochans and river would be within hiking distance of our base camp on the side of loch awe but I realise this might not be possible.

Any other info on tactics etc would be greatly appreciated. Also, a recommendation on a good spot on the loch to camp with decent fishing, we'd like to be as far away from civilisation as possible!

Thanks for even reading this far..!

On Loch awe these days mrtrout its difficult to get a spot to yourself.but pike and trout are abundant around kilchurn castle and there is ample camping.
