Question Pea Soup Tactics?

As you all know Rutland is thick in green algea,a right thick pea soup in most places!!
What are the best colours and tactics in these situations?

Black as suggested, with a few bright flies on the same leader spaced much closer together than normal...go down to 3 feet apart.

Black patterns always do well, and I usually have a booby on my cast just to cause a bit of disturbance and pull the fish to your flies...

Oh also fish slow...they won't be able to see your lures pulled at 100 MPH

There's no chance of 100MPH
More like 10MPH

Fished it yesterday and despite the colour and the lack of fish moving and the bright sunshine for most of the day (I can't think of any more excuses!) they were taking about 2 to 4 foot down and taking nymphs fished very slowly.
A little booby on a washing line point also helped.
They're not feeding hard and several of the fish were almost empty of stomach contents, but there were a number of limits taken.
Best areas up at Fantasy and the Dam and across the main basin down the lines of aerators.
Good luck and pray for a good blow to break it all up.
PS wear a gas mask when going afloat cos the boat dock really stank when we got back!
