Default Fishery under the Friarton Bridge, Perth

Hi,

I was out last night after work giving the new fishery just outside Perth a wee shot. A very unusual setting but a really good place withvery hard fighting fish. They were all in top condition and I had some great sport on the dries. Thought I'd share some pictures of the place. I'm not sure when the place is going to officially open but I'm sure it willbe very popular.

Its being run by Dave the Ghillie from Cargill with a few others and yes it is built on the flood plains. Would be worrying if it rained hard.

Excuse me for stating what might be the obvious but the Tay will flood and it will not be that far in the future knowing what our climate is like. Is this not a disaster waiting to happen with the stockies escaping into the river?

To be fair the opposite may happen and they might end up with a nice stock of sea trout and salmon!

What contingencies might they have in place to prevent such acts of mother nature wiping the place out?

Has someone recently made a fortune selling sandbags?

I noticed this place yesterday on the way to the game fair. What an awful place to put a Rainbow fishery.
