My brother-in-law used to live on the Dupplin Estate - they didn't do a discount but I think the trout ticket was only £30 for the season. You might get the odd fish on your lures but I'd reckon you'd be better off going with the wee rod and a few dries and emergers at this time of the year.

Hi Bobz, just started out on this beat myself, it has been great fun so far. My advice would be deffo waders (you are only allowed waist waders on a trout permit). I use a 10' #7 some times and a 9' 6' #6 at others.
Peter ross, teal blue and mallard, stoats tail and small dries all seem to do the trick the fish dont seem that fussy. There are good runs all the way down the dupplin beat. Its £30 for a permit from the estate office

Hi Mate,
Select the User CP link at the top of the (this or any other) page.
Then
Select the Edit Options link displayed on the left hand menu
Then
Scroll down a wee bit to the Private Messaging section and click on enable PM's.

But anyway, I too think the bridge is a pretty good spot and I have seen some big fish moving there I just havent been able to catch any! the state of the tide makes a huge difference to this pool. Basically I have worked my way back upstream from there and caught fish all the way up for about half mile, just little ones but its great fun in the runs between the weeds.
Parking at the top car park as marked on map and working your way down the run from the burn mouth is also productive.
TBH I have caught something everywhere I have tried.
Please bear in mind I am a total beginner to river fishing and this beat so I am basically just trying everywhere and when I say caught something I mean little uns, but so much fun.
Middle parking spot is excellent working downstream from the car park. But watch out as if you have a low slung car you'll bottom it on the way out the gate which is a pain. The wife has a mondeo and it doesnt bottom out I got a BMW and it does.
Gonna head down there tonight for a few hours so if you fancy meeting up sort out your PM status or drop me an e-mail and I'll send you my contact details am happy to pass on the scant knowledge I have gained over the past 3 weeks.
Scott.

You live in hope of a 1lber! Up to 0.5lb if I'm lucky but they have been getting bigger the more I learn about where to look for them, in between the weeds and under trees / overhangs etc.
