I have recently returned to fly fishing after a 30 year break and much of the equipment has changed in that time!

Fortunately, I have been able to pick up lots of information on tackle and tactics on this forum so thought I'd drop a note to thank you all!!

Once I get back into the swing of things I may well be asking for some help!!!

Hi Newcomer! I got back into fly fishing a couple of years ago after a break of over 20 years! In that time I was a trout farm manager and completely lost interest in catching them - sad really, because it was my interest in fishing that made me get into fish farming! One thing I have noticed - tackle and flies are SO much cheaper now than first time around!

Hi PL,
I had a 27,year break from fly fishing, I've been back practising for a few seasons; and apart for a few new innovations and some changes in terminology, the art of fly fishing hasn't changed, it all comes flooding back after a short while, you never really loose the knack!

Welcome to the forum!

Mostyn

Welcome PL, I wish like Mostyn says, I had all the tackle I have now, 27 years ago.
There were a lot more fish in the rivers then.
Enjoy the forum and the fishing.
