Hello guys

I recently quite by accident stumbled upon a great web domain name that wasnt registered flyangler.co.uk, i plan to have a bash at putting together a fluff chucking website but i am in need of photos to pretty it up, and to make banners out of, there are many talented photographers on here i was hoping that some of you would let me use some of your images, anyone who is happy for me to do this please let me know, anything is welcome, fish, entomology, flytying, tackle, scenery you know the kind of stuff...

also anyone interested in contrubuting content please pm me

thanks

Martin

You better sort out some sort of rights of usage contract up front. If someone sends you their favourite photo and it ends up gracing the next Acme tackle catalogue they may have a serious claim against you, even if it was done without your consent.

People sending in images also need to think about model release forms. You can't go publishing pictures of people on the internet (or anywhere else) for commercial use without their written consent.

You'll get better quality images if you sort out copyright and credit details at the outset.

Good luck with the project and remember, a website is never finished.

You are quite correct SharkeyP. Even if this site isn't commercial, you'll still need the original photographer to give you consent and maybe the copyright for the image. Even some public spaces and buildings have their own copyright and cannot be used on some websites.
The website might be non-commercial now but that might not be the case in the future.

Having said that, I'll be happy to provide you with anything I have taken!

Good luck!

the original post was asking for people willing to give consent for me to use their pictures... if people want an acknowlegment as the photographer then thats cool too

You're welcome to use some of my pics. For example the Mayfly photo posted here:

Is this a sepia dun?

Just ask as and when you see something interesting...
