hi, been floating round on the forum for a few weeks now and have to say found it very interesting,lots of very knowledgable people,
well here is the story. was walking round a local lake a couple of months ago and started to watch a gentleman fly fishing,I started to have a natter with him and he offered me a go,after thrashing the water to a foam for a few minutes i handed the rod back, anyway was already hooked and booked a lesson 2 weeks later, been practicing ever since.
will probably have lots of questions for you guys(please be patient )
I try and fish at wansford and allerthorpe when I get the chance, but would like to try some other places nearby,

HI GUYS,THANKS FOR THE WELCOME.THE LOCAL WATER I WAS TALKING ABOUT IS ALLERTHORPE,I FIND IT A FAIRLY EASY PLACE TO FISH (THE CASTING NOT CATCHING THE FISH ) NOT REALLY SURE WHAT SIZE IT IS, A LOT BIGGER THAN WANSFORD BUT NOT A MASSIVE LAKE,I DO KNOW IT HAS JUST BEEN RE STOCKED AND IS FISHING PRETTY WELL,I WATCHED 5 MEN ON SUNDAY CATCHING PLENTY ( I WENT HOME WITHOUT A TOUCH) ITS NOT THE CHEAPEST PLACE AROUND BUT I FIND IT A DECENT PLACE, THERE IS A SMALL CAFE AND SHOP ON SITE SO GOOD FOR THE BACON BUTTIES AND A CUPPA.AM SURE THERE IS A WEBSITE ASWELL
ANYWAY THANKS AGAIN FOR THE WELCOME AND HOPE TO MEET WITH SOME OF YOU GUYS SOON, YOU COULD IF YOU LIKE, SHOW ME HOW TO FISH PROPERLY
