Default Midges!!

I was out this evening and got eaten alive by the midges, was really hard to conentrate and enjoy the fishing. I have a hat net thing but didnt seem to work well

But i was wanting to know what you guys think are the best reppelents and stuff to keep the midges from not eating me.

Cheers

Ali

GAH! I hate the little bleeders! Jungle formula is okish, though it depends how determined they are.

Default Midges

I have had many days ruined by the wee terrors. After one really bad day on the River Orchy I went out and bought a fine mesh net. That and a dash of Skin So Soft can work in most cases.Surgical gloves are also worth trying to protect the hands. In extreme cases I head indoors.

Hat net mesh varies, you have to get the (more expensive) VERY fine mesh version for it to be any good in the UK, where we have v small midges.
The larger mesh is ok abroad when you are dealing with much bigger mossies.
