Default Nephews first trout on the fly

There's a thread on the go about starting the youngsters fly fishing and its good to see the weans' are getting stuck in. This morning my nephew, turned 10 last month, got his first two rainbows on the fly at Loch Insch, Aberdeenshire. He's had a few from bait ponds on worms before and has been flattie bashing for years but looks like he's caught the bug/fly. Well done Jamie, we'll get you out on a boat on Bushyleaze when you're down next month.

First fish took a hummungus and the second a daddy off the top (nae bad loon, nae bad). Missed a good few takes too.

The smile on Jamie's face says it all. Great stuff, another convert.

Here's the kid now with a decent cast on him. Catching fish regularly around the fisheries of Aberdeenshire.
