Thumbs up New Book Recommendation

Hi All... hope nobody will mind me posting this link here...

The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Spy1, AKA Gwilym Hughes, is having his first book published shortly. I have been privileged to have been given a proof copy to read through, and "The Angle Of The Cast" is everything that you would hope for from an angler of Gwilym's consummate skill and passion for his sport. It is also, as you'd expect, highly entertaining, and full of little insights into those life experiences which shape all our enjoyment of fly fishing.

You can check it out for yourself here and I would suggest that it is well worth its place on your bookshelf for the sections on fly patterns and methodology alone. Great stuff congrats on a great piece of work Gwilym!

(PS... Gwil', if you're reading this... we did say 35% didn't we)

Hi Dave,

I agree! Looks like a really good book; I saw it recommended on the Gwent Angling Web Site! So I posted a recommendation on this forum!

NEW BOOK : The Angle of the Cast.

Do you know if the book has been released yet? When can we buy it? and where from? I'm looking forward to reading it!

Mostyn

Can someone let me know when this is published?
I have long been a fan of Gwilym's flies and his whole approach.
I am off on holiday next week and it would make perfect reading between humping the army of super models that flock to the yacht.

D'you know what Mark... I do believe that G has covered that challenge as well... somewhere in the chapter describing "Nymphing and other wet methods... selective approaches to realising a satisfactory rod haul"

"The Angle Of The Cast" - I'm still waiting at my 'back of beyond' bookshop.

I wish I'd ordered a Spy1 direct special autographed copy - but I was swayed by the promise of a 15% discount locally.
Tigermoth - can you confirm that it is now in circulation?

Any news?
