Default klinks falling to bits!

I'm new to this fly fishing lark, being a coarse angler most of my life. I've been having a lot of success on my local rivers, Wear, Tees and Derwent with klinkhammers however they just seem to fall to bits after one or two fish. I've bought them from a few different places, both online and shops so I don't think they are coming from the same place? Can anyone recommend any good suppliers/tiers or would it be better for me to learn to tie them myself?

Some shop bought flies can be poorly tied. I have came across this before.
I now only buy fulling mill flies see here http://www.fullingmill.com/ they are well tied and i have never had an issue with them.

I also recently bought some flies from Phil at spiders plus off here and they were excellent too. (and successful!)
PM him on here or here is his website http://www.spidersplus.co.uk/

Hope this helps.
Paul.

I've had some from Selectafly that disintegrated even without catching a fish!

I have often found that it is worth paying a wee bit extra for my flies.

thats the problem with shop bought ones, they tend to be a rushed job and consequently you find they fall apart- some patterns demand that they have some time taken to be made.

Im pretty sure dave wiltshire would be able to tie a few up, ive heard he sells them. Ive heard phils flies are great too, failing that I'd be able to tie a few up at a good price.

i'll 2nd that , such as in life ....you pay for what you get . the cheap ones eg.27p type will look ok and catch fish , but the higher end of the market ones will last longer and still look good even after a few maulings.
