Default Introduce myself.

Hi, My name is Stephen and i have just found and joined the forum. I began to learn to fly fish about 6 weeks ago and i just cant get enough of it. Previously i spent my summers fishing for river trout in Ireland by either spinning or by worm and i could never go back to doing it again. My winters are spent shooting so all in all im a busy all year round.

I have began to learn to fly fish on out local angling club lake which is 40 acres and is stocked with brown and rainbow trout once a year and has proved to be great sport. I have caught about 5 trout so far on the lake which is a great boost and keeps the interest flowing. Unforutantly i have been unbale to catch a wild trout on the local river which i have felt confident enough to start fishing the last week.

Looking forward to talking and learning from you all!

As Chunky says, Welcome lads. This forum holds more information than you would find in Encyclopaedia Britannica, so far as fishing is concerned, so ask away. Nobody knows it all; but all know something. Hey, that sounds like a good motto!! Cheers, TerryC
