Default Pigeons!

What has this got to do with fly-fishing, other than possibly the use of their feathers? Well, I'll tell you what - Stripping baskets!

I've been trying for some time to better the silicone nozzles to fit inside my home-made Ikea kiddie stool stripping basket, as per this thread - Stripping basket's

Have a look at these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BIRD-REPELLER-...3A1%7C294%3A50

Saw these this morning in the town centre and they are perfect for what I want. Some types are slightly flexible, much like the spikes fitted to the Flexi-stripper. There are many possiblities to make a very good, and very cheap stripping basket here - that is for anyone that can be bothered, like me!

Mate, you got me totally confused as to why you would want to put these inside a stripping basket
But go for your life I love the creativity and enthusiasm!

YouTube - Fly Fishing John Coles using Flexi-Stripper
That'll explain it better.

Or just use heavy zip ties. Heat and flatten the head end then glue in.

With these being angles outwards surely they will snag the line when you cast. normally you have vertical spikes or loops to keel the like from snagging itself

Sorry, did not want to dampen your enthusiasm, but I thought it might save you a few quid.

Some heavy duty cable ties would probably do the trick.

What I meant was that you could cut them off the sprues and glue them on, much like the silicone nozzles. They seem much more suitable that them, or even cable ties. Certainly cheaper than the nozzles.
