Given the problems some (myself included) have had over delivery times with various suppliers, just thought I'd say what excellent service I got from Phil at Spiders Plus.

I ordered some furled leaders and tippet at 11 am on Tuesday and before 1pm I had an email saying they were packed and being posted and they arrived the next day.

Phil is a top bloke, no doubts.

I can endorse this, I used them for the first time recently and had the goods the day following the order. This was repeated with the next order which Phil obtained for me in two days despite not actually stocking the product and very good prices too.

I can't recommend them too highly, I'll be going here for all my stuff unless they don't stock it or can't get it.

bought quite a bit of stuff from phil now , excellent service , excellent communication .

just ordered some more flies off him (ones i'd never attempt myself) although they are dearer than some suppliers his flies are first class and well worth that bit extra .

after all its the fly what the fish is tempted by , makes me laugh when people pay £300+ for a rod , £200+ for a reel and £50 for a flyline but scrimp on flies


when i need something now i always check if phil or grommit stock it, they are both building a good reputation on this forum .

long may it continue from them both .

I ordered a few bits and bobs from Spiderplus the other day. Shipping was £2.50 to Ireland. Phil put in an extra £5 from his own pocket to deliver it as signed for, just so it would reach me faster. Top class service I will also be ordering from there again

I would agree with all the above opinions. Phil's service is fantastic ... he's an excellent fly tier as well. He always follows up an order with an email.

Agree all the above. Phil ties excellent flies, including some interesting ones like Bob Wyatt's Deer Hair Emerger, and his service is first class.

I have to agree with all the above comments even if you need a fly tied thats not on his website I'm 99% sure Phil could tie it to order
