Since joining this fine forum i cant help but feel a little confused about some of the acronyms and abbreviations you lot use. Very confusing at times! And i thought carp fishing was complicated!

A few simple ones are:
SBS
SWFF

And have just read about "bows"

Anyone want to add some more to help the newer chaps on here

IMHO, In my humble opinion, used far too rarely.

AFAIK, as far as I know. IIRC, if I recall correctly. NSFW, not safe for work.

I understand all the internet ones, its the fly fishing (or should i say FF) ones i am talking about

SBS: step by step (guide to tying a fly)
SWFF: saltwater fly-fishing

One that always throws me is:
WBT: wild brown trout

Not to be confused with:
WTT: Wild Trout Trust

Erm, are there any others?
