Default Illegal Fishing in Scotland

Hi

Just received an email from the Environment Agency explaining where to fish south of the border and how to report illegal fishing, giving a phone number, and wonder what the procedure is in Scotland.

Met a chap yesterday who said he'd seen a bait fisher on R.Whiteadder (fly only notices everywhere) but when he reached the man, he'd taken down his tackle and was no longer fishing.

Is there a procedure for us to follow, when we see folk poaching, in Scotland?

Trish

Hi', Lads. I was an honorary bailiff for a long time, and early on l learned that one of the best approaches to a suspect was to ask. 'Whose car registration is ABC 123, etc?' Invariably the answer was, 'That's mine, what's wrong?' Then, if and when you found out he was doing something illegal, you could ask for his details, saying that a check would be made to ascertain whether or not the car was his, so please don't give me, 'My name is Donald Duck, and my address is Disneyland.' It worked every time, but it wouildn't have if the car was stolen.
Just remembered, first line was always to introduce yourself and flash the warrant card. Hope that helps. Terry C

Default way of the snake

simple psychology can be strangely effective, if you give someone a big smile and shake their hand as you introduce yourself......they automatically tell you their name..

if they dont put on a serious face and ask them what the f##k they are up too, as a glaswegian im sure you would agree thats not being too forward

Hi', Molley. If I got a 'No idea, mate, it's not mine.' The answer was, 'Well, that's a relief, somebody just shunted ABC123.'. That got their attention. TC
