Default Bruce and Walker

Whatever happened to them...?...I know they still make rods but where would you go to get one? To me, they epitomise the post -war / Hugh Falkus / Arthur Oglesby breed of Salmon fishermen who wore vests , had never owned a bottle of aftershave and regarded anything American as flash and untrustworthy..not a bad thing ,as I'm getting increasingly retro in my outlook as I get older. I used to have a 13' Powerlite speycaster but sold it to my lasting regret. Does anyone still hold B&W close to their hearts ??

I thought they'd gone out of business....I have a 10'6" #7-9 Trout+ Salmon Road that I bought in 1983 .Cost me 80 odd quid ...I wonder if I could punt it to someone ..Must try it tho first to see how it works with modern lines .

The picture at the top of the page is a picture of me playing a 20lb + fish on a Bruce and Walker rod, a Whisperer if I recall.
Sometimes I notice the picture changes.
