I am from Fife in Scotland and intend to visit Lancashire next week to do some fly fishing.

Do I need a license?
If so where do i get one and for how much?
What ID do I need to take with me?

Yes you do, post office.You can get a day license IIRC. No ID required.

Yes you will need an EA licence to fish.


They can be bought from a Post Office. Trout or coarse fish are cheaper to fish for than salmon or sea trout.

its £3.50 and its just a print out reciept with your name address and date of birth on it, you can get them from any local post offices or online. i had one for my day at thornton last week

You do need to carry some form of ID with you should you have a 1/8 day license though.

Driving license should cover it.
