Default Last post for a while

The Muddler will be off the air for about 3 weeks. I'm off to Scotland - a proper fishing holiday at last.
I'll be spending a fortnight fishing the hill lochs of Assynt, then if the weather isn't too bad I'll catch the ferry to Stornoway to explore Lewis.
For me there's nothing like the magic of Assynt in midsummer. (When it's not raining !)
I may have some tales to tell when I return.

Get yourself on to Lewis, free brown trout fishing for all! My family were there during the easter period and said the fishing spots were endless! I believe the brown trout fishing on the endless number of lochs is free and a few possibly needing landownders permission. I really wish i'd been with them, sounds excellent! I was on Skye....

Anyway enjoy your holiday!

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I've met these midges before.

They aren't too bad up there in June. July and August are the worst months.

Don't believe it. They were bad on Mull a month ago!!

Load up on vit B1 before you go and keep taking it daily. IMO Definitely reduces your attractiveness (to midges I hasten to add!!)
