Default Entomology Section

Just wondering what the thoughts are about having an entomology section, there seem to be threads dotted around the forum with some excellent photography and lots of knowledgeable people on here identifying the assorted Plecoptera, Tricoptera etc so would a single place for the pictures and id be warranted, just wondering if Admin would be up for that.

Cheers

Chris

Sounds like a good idea to me. Always nice to be able to identify aquatic creepy crawlies.

Cracking idea Chris.

If it was done properly it could be a great source to enhance our knowledge of the invertebrate life flying (& crawling) around us as we fish.

My suggestion would be to have categories for the main fly orders with sub divisions for both adult and larvae stages.

There seems to be very little around at the moment to aid the budding entomologist with some positive ways of fly identification.

I know that the 'Riverfly Partnership' is in the process of putting together some kind of guide with lots of info and colour photos, having looked at the draft copy it could be quite a useful book.

Sabsman.

I would welcome an Entomology section. It could be a useful reference point

I think that would be really useful and perhaps whilst we are adding that one we can cull some of the other, less used, non reference ones!
