Try to find a copy of Bruce Sandison's Rivers and Lochs of Scotland (Amazon might have it) for a comprehensive guide to the area.If not, visit the tackle shop in Lochgilphead for info and permits on the local club lochs. They're not exactly wild, I believe the club stocks them with fingerlings. Coillie Bharr still fishes well (boat only). Further North the Oban and Lorne AC have some good waters, enquire at the tackle shop in Oban.
The sea trout population is recovering and any burn running into the sea is worth a cast, but only in spate conditions. Not sure about permission but if you're in the sea fishing the burnmouth I doubt if anyone will hassle you.
In North Kintyre, Loch Ciaran might be worth a try (haven't fished it) permit from Ronachan Farmhouse, Clachan.
There's a carpark by the sea at Ronachan wher you can see otters and seals.

For great seafood try the SeafoodShack at Skipness.

If the weather's good you'll see fabulous sunsets over the Isle of Jura.

Enjoy.

Hi', 'Choille' has been well recommend for years, and for a change, an old mate used to praise the big trout in the Crinan Canal. Have not fished it myself, but my friend did see some big fish there. TC

Hi 'dog it's me again. Do you read Flyfishing and Flytying magazine? There's a feature in this month's on the Oban and Lorne AC with some useful contacts and info. Check it out.
