Default Lough Melvin

I'm thinking of fishing Lough Melvin for the first time. I was wondering if some kind folk could give me some advice or tips on fishing the lough.I intend fly fishing from a boat.Thanks in advance

Give Sean Maguire (Tackle shop) in Garrison a shout, he will give you heads up on the lough. Don't know much about the lough myself, only fished it once and had an unbelievable days sport on the wets.

When was you thinking of fishing there mate? as you could come out with me if I was over.
Sean is a top bloke as is his son, say hello from Cornish Mike if you see him.

I would intend fishing there some sat/sun.I not tied to certain dates or anything as i'm within travelling distance.

Should fish well this weekend.

Mayfly showing at Maguires / Castle area.

Fish Floater or Ghost Tip or Intermediate with RA Green Peter, Green Wet Mays & Claret Dabbler and you wont go far wrong.

Spoke to a few guys who fished it yesterday and had good sport.
Plenty fish taking but a lot of them undersized.Need a bit of luck to get the good ones.
