Thumbs down

Glasgow angling centre are s****e, for stock, delivery and customer service. I used to order loads of gear from them now I dont bother at all. I'm still waiting for a vice I ordered from them in march which I've chased up with them several times to no avail, they've always missed out tying materials that happened to be 'out of stock' when I ordered it (but of course they forgot to tell me that bit), and tried charging me twice for it when I quierred it on one occasion.

Best place for materials is Gerry from artifly much better quality, value and customer service, you sometimes have to wait a little longer for the delivery from what I've read on the forum but I've always had my materials on time from him.

And as for tackle I just wont use Glasgow after the poor service on the materials. They must have too many customers to give a s**t

I dont think I'm the only dissatisfied customer of theirs either

Really?
GAC are well know for providing the worst mail order service in the known universe.

Default Name and shame

OK while we on the subject ....
I ordered and made payment with paypal for a spool of tippet from www.atkinsangling.com 7 days ago and i have just got an email to say they have only just sent it out today !!!!
I often order items from England and Scotland and as a rule they get here in 3-4 days . So to find out now that this will take a lot longer even though they company is in Ireland has really pi$$ed me off to say the least !!

Rant over

I have allways found them to be very good on processing/ despatching orders and use them quite regular maybe its because i,me living within a few miles of the shop, i have heard on the forum they are rather lax at times i think i`ll let the owner know about whats going on and see if anything improves...

Chris.

Chris,
I think he already knows as we have the same kind of posting on here every year about poor service and on other forums. Have always found them helpful when you go in but have never used them for mail order.

Maybe us lucky ones that actually live in Glasgow could help our fellow fishermen (if the trust us!) to do the shopping and posting for them... Paypal could make it easy. I go to both the GAC and Field and Sport regularly so would be happy to help!
