Default Evening and morning fishing

Given that the Mayfly now seem to have started hatching wondering if its worth dropping by the river before work for a short session and then again after work.

Would 06:00 in the morning to 08:00 be too early to fish at this time of the year?

Hi Matt,
The early Bird, and the evening Hunter, sounds good to me!

I would suppose it all depends on the weather and water conditions, also on the amount of fly-life hatching; but from the beginning of JUNE, the evening is a great time to fish especially on rivers!

Why not give the early morning session a try, let us know how you get on?

The evening will be a must-go-fishing from now until September; but lots of good day-time fishing as-well, still to come.

Mostyn

My two favorite times to fish! In the morning you'll find the big browns hunting for fry or taking the first hatches of the day and in the evening you can get some of the best hatches. Add to that the benefit of showing up at work in a good mood and then getting rid of a day's stress by fishing and you've got a winning combination!

Default mayfly feeders

If temperature increases, last two weeks on Dove and Teme, the feeding was between 11 and 4ish on the mayfly, I assume too cool before and after those times
