Hi dan gill
I will second the thanks to Mike Pogson of Yorkshire Gamefishers and Slathwaite Angling Club.
I cant even say that he could have organised better weather

....because fish we did.

When I looked at the Calder (after lunch) it was coloured and still rising making it unfishable.....So off to the tribs then

First look over the Slathwaite town bridge saw half a dozen or so fish very actively rising in water with a little colour but eminently fishable.
We fished on, through some very heavy squalls (including hailstones),untill the river rose and coloured (still catching till 9pm)With everyone catching fish(circa 40 for our group) in fine condition and all retiring for a de-brief in the pub

Unlike the other 'group' on the Holme.......Mike P rang grayling_angler....his wife answered saying he was tucked up warm in bed, already, with his cocoa

......and they all caught fish too
