Default Skateboard Sensation!

Lastnight Skateboard Dave gave a presentation for the River Erewash Foundation members on his techniques and experiences of flyfishing canals, rivers and stillwaters for a huge variety of species. Dave gave all of us some real food for thought, both our game and course anglers were amazed being mesmerised for 2 hours by Dave's innovative, creative and refreshing approach to angling.
Dave who has fished our river previously succeeded in stirring up members angling passion and helped reinforce the belief we have in the potential of our little river Erewash.
So if your looking for a special night for your club/association then look no further, you'd be hard pushed to top this presentation an our members couldn't recommend him enough. He even donated a box of his own flies to raise money for our foundation at our auction, and also joined in the bidding and won a couple of items .

On behalf of the River Erewash Foundation I wish to thank Skateboard Dave for a fantastic night, and all present are in his debt.

Until next time

Mick

I'd agree with you Mick. Dave is an enthusiastic and knowlegdeable presenter (saw him when he presented this sort of thing to the Wandle Piscators).

The only problem is, he makes it seem so easy to catch fish (any fish) on the fly .

In my limited fly fishing experience I've caught Brown Trout, Rainbows (UK and wild in the US), Cutthroat Trout (in Canada), Grayling, Dace (a few) Chub and Pike. I'm hoping to add Perch and Roach to my list this season.

It's not easy but it is rewarding ... but I still love float fishing with a centrepin as well. I don't think I could stick to fly only ...

from his presentation to the Yorkshire Gamefishers in April.

Someone should commission Skateboard Dave to make a fly fishing series for TV

If he made a fly fishing dvd I'd buy it.

Cheers, Dave.
