Thumbs up Wild Trout Trust Get-Together

May 30th, Youlgrave Village Hall, Nr Bakewell, Derbyshire.

It's that time again and the day is made that bit more special because it's Simons' last day. The Trusts' Director, Simon Johnson will be saying goodbye before taking up his new duties with the Eden Rivers Trust. Good Luck Simon, it's been a pleasure working with you.

We are planning a river walk, guided by my two under-keepers, one ex; Gareth and one present; Jan. Although not advertised, there is to be a presentation on fishery management that I understand is not to be missed.

You've got to ring Chrisy for a ticket; 023 9257 0985

The office is manned by Christina Bryant on a part-time basis: Mon-Thur-
10am to 2pm

I'm looking forward to seeing you all then. It looks like we will have plenty of water in the rivers Lathkill and Bradford for your walk and it being the absolute peak of the Mayfly hatch, you will have plenty of rising fish to salivate over. Obviously there will be a brief search of your persons before you will be allowed to progress onto the river bank; to make sure no handlines are concealed but I'm sure it wont be too invasive. We are lifting the blanket ban on photography for this one day, but please refrain from using flash.

Hoping for one day of blue skies for you.

Likewise tickets booked along with Adrian (splash2).

Any thoughts on where we could park up in a camper van for the night? We will be off early doors Sunday up to Scotland for a weeks fishing.

Neil

Will you be wanting to be lulled to sleep by the sound of babbling water... or just near a pub?

Babbling water would set the tone for a good nights kip and an early start.
A near pub could delay the departure time somewhat going on previous form. Not that it makes any difference on the Monnow socials

I've just booked a place on my own and really cant wait. I've only started fishing within the last year and don't get to mix much with 'my own kind'!

I'm even going to suffer the huge embarassment of driving my girlfiends battered bubblegum pink Honda Jazz down from Manchester to get there!

Warren, if I bring my rod can I have a dabble on the Lathkill?
