Default Izaak Walton's Cottage, Shallowford, Near Stafford

Transcribed from this week's Stafford Chronicle:

"Angling for more visitors
The former home of one of Stafford's most famous sons has opened for the season with a range of costumed characters. Visitors to Izaac Walton's cottage also got the chance to try on some rural 16th centrury period costumes for themselves at the Worston Lane attraction. The Compleat Angler's cottage re-opened for the summer last Saturday (May 9) and will now be welcoming visitors from 1-5pm each weekend. ......

For more details on this year's programme of events at Izaac Walton's cottage, call 01785 619131."

Details of how to find the cottage are at: http://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/static/page53.htm
