Default Fishing The Water Idiots Stand In..

I cant remember who said it or which thread it was on, but not too long ago I read that someone caught his fish in the shallow water that idiots walked in. Well today I stopped being an idiot and had my best day river fishing ever, 4 (out of season) Grayling all very close to if not 2lb, 4 Brownies well over the 1lb mark and one close to 2lb and several missed/lossed fish. All in less than 3 hours on the Swale using a Pheasent Tail Dry.

So to whom it may concern, Thank you.

Mick

Don't wade through any water you haven't fished first.

Remember watching a guy fishing the Upper Tweed in autumn (not a huge river), he was striving to reach the opposite bank and I watched 3 fish in short succession head and tail heading upstream between where h was wading and his bank.

Holds true on ressies and small stillwaters too. You turn up at a smallwater and everyone is standing on the end of their platform trying to hit the horizon, when you turn up, cast from ten yards back and catch one two foot from the platform.
