Thumbs up Given the water I'd suspect they'd find them ..

A 12/14 wt rod and a 650 grain RIO deep dreg. should get them down into the 'ya baby' zone. Just 'stink up' the HUGE fly to get their attention .. then HANG ON!!!

dont quite know how you entice a sturgeon with a fly...they have very poor eye sight and dont hunt visually...

the episode I saw on discovery was some bloke from big brother fishing the Fraser

they were using salmon/trout eggs in little muslin bags so the scent drifted in the current ...caught some bigguns though

Correct, eye sight is poor, but smell is very advanced.

Another 'bait' used (rotten herring, etc.) is a wobbling plug with a slab of herring/bait fish (litterly) 'lashed on top.'

We were using pike minnows as deadbait (not that I'm particularly proud of it!)

Now that I have downloaded half my photos, I find that this site does not let me post images as attachments....
