She who must be obeyed told me to clear the "rubbish" from a shelf in the garage , on the shelf I found 2 fold up landing nets ,both good condition and a tin box.
The box is green and " rusty ". On opening it up there was the name Farlows. The lid has 2 compartments with butterfly knobs to open them. Opening one there was what was left of quite a few fly,s with gut loops , all rotted and faded. The other compartment had just hooks. Some so small I nearly missed them , some wee doubles. There was 3 all joined together with gut which fell apart when I touched them. The base of the "tin" had one small compartment with a butterfly **** for opening and along sit there is 2 open compartments full of rusty hooks and a home made "lure" about 2 inch long.
I would say that the box was cor 1920 , ish
Having just read that , any DECENT suggestions ????????????
