Default Great Bloke

A big thank you to Mick Bell of Bloke Rods who has very kindly donated two Bloke XL50 9' 5wt rods to Swanswater Cygnets as prizes for their season long competition. The Cygnets are a club for under 16's based at Swanswater near Stirling and has about 25 members who meet at the fishery and are given casting instruction, fly tying, etc by a group of volunteers. The kids are split into an A and B team depending on their abilities and their catches are counted up for the season with points for each fish and points for the weight. At the end of the season the winners are given their prizes at the AGM and usually all the kids are given a prize which might be a packet of flies.
With Mick's kind donation it means we will be able to carry some funds over into next season and be able to organise trips for the kids to other fisheries.
A big thanks is also due to Tam, Jim and Jimmy who give up their Sundays to help the kids and with never a word of complaint.

Ian
